FFAC Recap - Week 2: I Write Wins Not Tragedies

Sup nerds,

I was considering making a Toad reference for this weeks title, but this is a family friendly blog.

So, it's Throwback Thursday and I'm throwing it back to 2 weeks ago when I sent the season preview on Thursday of opening day so today I am also sending this last minute and not because I totally didn't finish drafting this in time.

RECAP

OK so we had a much higher quality football, with it being true Week 1 and last week being Preseason game 5s across the board. And while the end results don't exactly reflect super close contests, they definitely were, lots of us ended up pulling away late Sunday.

On to the blowout of the week, however: Zach stomps MJ by 28.30 points, a final score of 113.36 - 85.06. This is a bit of insult to injury for MJ, since, well, you know...maybe that's a little too on the nose. MJ's team has dealt with lots of injuries is what I'm saying. And MJ was our week low scorer, so...sorry my guy, you also get Dunce of the Week.

Jay scored a league AND now new season high 147.80. So, needless to say, he beat Ryan 147.80 - 121.54. This is a tough loss for Ryan, as Mahommes went OFF and it wasn't enough. Ryan was also 4th highest scorer this week, so, he'd beat 7 other teams. Luck o' the draw, as they say. Nows the time to really reconsider my proposal for next year of top 6 scoring teams getting an additional win (and bottom 6 get a loss). ANYWHO ponder upon that for a bit.

Rounding us out, we have Fireball over Stefan, Jamie over Nick (nail-biter this one, 107.8 - 107.18), PapaB beats Shiv, and the daughter became the mother, as Shelby defeats KO (that's how that works, right?).

So, what's the deal with the short ish/half assed matchup recaps? WELL check out the following image:

Isn't that fun? With the exception of Zach (2-0) and Shiv (0-2), everyone is 1-1, and pretty close in terms of points scored for and points scored against. Obviously, it's only 2 weeks in so we can't place TOO much on these stats, but, you already know I'm here for reasonable, clear headed reactions. Remember, division leaders get a playoff spot, but seeding will be determined by overall standings.

STATS

High score: 147.8 (Jay) - new season high
Low score: 85.06 (MJ) - new season low
Biggest blowout: 28.3 (Zach)
Best performance: 38.98 (Roethlisberger)

PREVIEW

Stefan v Ryan
Jay v Nick
Fireball v Jamie
Zach v Shelby
Shiv v KO
Papa v MJ

I'm rolling with Ryan, Nick, Jamie, Shelby, KO, & myself of course. Let's see if Zach lands his first loss and Shiv gets his first win (not).

I'M OFF SORRY FOR LATE.
